The Los Angeles born chain will open its first ever Australian Hotel in Burleigh Heads in 2025.
The Gold Coast is set to elevate its hospitality game with the opening of Mondrian Gold Coast, Australia’s first-ever Mondrian hotel, scheduled to launch in 2025. The 24-floor Burleigh Heads beachfront hotel, promises a blend of cutting-edge design, immersive experiences, and world-class luxury.
The 208-room hotel offers an array of accommodations, from studios and suites to two-and three-bedroom Beach Houses, and experiences including a wellness spa, oceanfront pool club, and restaurants designed by award winning Alexander & Co, specialising in “coastal Italian cuisine and surf-to-plate seafood.” 
Mondrian Gold Coast will also house 89 residential apartments for those seeking permanent luxury living. Guests and residents alike can indulge in the hotel’s many amenities.
With 11 destinations to the Mondrian Hotels and Residences name, Australia has been part of the strategic focus for its expansion, COO Chadi Farhat believing the location and landscape of the Gold Coast made it the right location for its introduction to the Australian market.

The hotel’s design is spearheaded by Fraser & Partners and Studio Carter, with interiors inspired by the region’s coastal beauty, boasting panoramic views of the oceanfront and hinterland.
Despite original plans to open in 2023, Farhat believes the demand for luxury travel in Australia is only growing.
